Julien Mignot

Vignoble Mingot is a third generation family operated winery, on the right bank of Bordeaux in the area of Savignac-de-l’Isle. This is where their historical Chateau Marechaux property is located 7 kms north of the vineyards in Lalande de Pomerol.

Julien Mingot son of Michel is in charge of the operation with approximately 21 ha’s of predominantly Merlot planted, including small parcels of the other classic Bordeaux companions.

The Maréchaux grapes are sourced from where the original property is located, having produced since the early days two labels at different levels; Domaine and Château, the latter being of a higher tier.

The Mingot family have also integrated a range of red wines with a modern concept named ‘Pur’; a natural, low sulphur, monovarietal and quirky labelled Bordeaux Supérieur. This range is comprised of a Merlot and a Cabernet Franc with a Malbec in the pipeline as vineyards reach proper maturity in years to come.

In 2015 Julien launched a new wine, Château La Pensée; which represents the Lalande de Pomerol vineyard acquired in recent years, producing a promising addition to their range.

Vignoble Mingot is a producer that delivers superb quality and a great representation of right bank Bordeaux, providing excellent value across the portfolio.
